Ontario Signage Guidelines

Wayfinding & Accessibility

The Ontario Signage Guidelines (OSG) acts as a starting point for the larger conversation on accessible design in Ontario. The goals laid out in the OSG are to help reduce the cost of research and development of wayfinding systems across Ontario and putting a clear focus on accessibility during the design process. By condensing all of the available information on accessible signage across Canada into a small package, it allows any city in Ontario to design and plan their own wayfinding network and be confident that it will be accessible to everyone regardless of ability.
